Fica Comigo

"Fica Comigo" is a short 2D platformer that explores the profound bond between a boy and his dog as they navigate through a storm of difficult emotions.

The Story

Meet Paçoca, a brave little puppy on a grand adventure to help his best friend and owner, a young boy named Felipe. Felipe is going through a severe emotional turbulence, and his feelings have grown so overwhelming that they have physically manifested into a dark, looming force known as "The Miasma".

Commanding a legion of enemies born entirely from negative emotions, The Miasma stands in your way. Guide Paçoca as he confronts these manifestations, overcomes the obstacles, and fights to show Felipe that he doesn't have to face his struggles alone.

About the Project

This game is an academic proof of concept (Version 1) developed by first-semester students of the Digital Games program at Centro Universitário Belas Artes de São Paulo. It was created for our Multidisciplinary and Extensionist Integrator Project (PIME) and reflects the scope possible within our academic deadlines.

Purpose & Serious Games Concept

Developed in partnership with the NGO Desabandone, "Fica Comigo" explores the potential of Serious Games as a vehicle for social awareness. This project serves as a practical proof of concept to demonstrate how video games can engage players in meaningful discussions promoting conscious pet adoption and addressing the fight against animal abandonment.
